Set in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, home of Capt Cooke and his famous ship, The Endeavour, The Photo Shack offers a complete photographic experience for everyone to enjoy, why not enhance your experience when you visit us by exploring the wonderful scenery around this area, combining it with Whitby’s famous Regatta or now legendary Gothic weeks, or maybe visit Goathland and see where the TV series Heartbeat is filmed.

We offer unique photographic experiences to suit everyone’s needs and budgets, from family portraits, portfolios and glamorous makeovers to seductive boudoir experience shoots, the Photo Shack is owned by Gordon Richardson, a professional freelance photographer and all the photography on this site and the sister site, Gordon Richardson Photography is his own work.

The Photo Shack is also available to hire and is suitable for a wide variety of uses our client base includes both professional and amateur Photographers, companies and individuals and is regularly used for commercial and product photography as well as model photography.

The studio also has a model register of reliable models should you wish to try your hand at photographing a model and help is always at hand
should you require assistance with lighting, the Studio also runs regular events such as Lighting Tuition Courses and Model Tuition courses
with an international model as tutor.
